LA DOLCE VITA

We managed to escape the virus and enjoyed some DOLCE VITA on Italy’s islands. Sail&Kite along Sardegna’s south coast (AUG-2020) and kitesurfing in Sicily (OCT-2020).

CAPETOWN

March 2019 - Steffi, Raphi, Musu & Lüg
Back in the mother city after 14 years. A lot has changed since but the cape doctor, waves, cold ocean, braai, biltong and babbelas stayed the same. We had endless fun along Capetown's beautiful beaches, along the Cape and up in Langebaan.

MAURITIUS

We visited Mauritius in July 2018 during winter time when the easterly trade winds are blowing quiet steadily sometimes accompanied by a little storm front. The outer waves such as Manawa and One Eye are phenomenal to ride. Surfing more than 1000m offshore left some mixed feelings and I was always happy to be back at the beach in one piece.

VIENTO DE LEVANTE

Tarifa October 2017 - Rodi, Double K, Musu and Lüg.
Strong and side offshore levante produced very clean waves just off the beach in Tarifa. What a fun ride ;-))

FIJI

The locals of Fiji are among the happiest people in the world. A tropical climate, fertile soil, a mostly intact reef, Kava and an Olympic gold medal in Rugby are probably the reasons for this.

We couldn't resist a job offer in Fiji and stayed on the island for 8 weeks with some travelling at the end. We enjoyed the opportunity to surf famous Cloudbreak.

Bali - The island of Gods .... and perfect waves ;-)

We only explored a small part of the island and surfed at Uluwatu, Padang Padang and Keramas Beach.

OZ 2015

Back in our favourite country for kite-surfing, travelling along WA's coast  2015/2016... ;)

EL GOUNA

DoubleK, TheTurtle, Musu, Grimbo, Rodi and Lüg enjoyed the strong winds of the Red Sea  (August 2013).

SARDEGNA

Bullina's first road trip:

Kite- and windsurfing at the beautiful beaches of Italian island Sardegna.

KEEP HOLDING ON

Enjoying a couple of shiny summer days at the cable with good friends!

SAND IN THE CAR

Travelling back to OZ in 2011/12 felt like coming home. Once again; ) following WA's dusty roads to find spectacular conditions for surfing and kitesurfing.

EAST COAST ROAD TRIPPING

From Sydney to Airlie Beach and back. Tamara and I travelled along the stunning East Coast of Australia. Its relaxed towns and beautiful surf beaches are in opposite to the vivid atmosphere in Sydney.
We bought two second hand surf boards and really enjoyed being in the water nearly every day. However, we soon found out that surfing is not something you master in 3 weeks… Challenge accepted: )

KITING BELOW ZERO

A few shoots from an unforgettable snowkite-session here in Switzerland. Tamara & Lüg (winter 2010/2011).

@ TARIFA

Claudia, Barbara, Tamara and Lüg visited the kite capital of Europe for a short holiday in October 2010. Salud!

CEARA

In summer 2008 Rodi, Sandru and Lüg visited the kite-mecca Ceará (Brasil) for the first time. We really enjoyed it, had plenty of fun and more wind than we could possibly take: )

DEEP WINTER

In this album you can have a look at a few impressions from the cold season here in Switzerland.

WEST COAST: I'M LOVIN' IT

Despite all the deadly creatures that follow you along the way, I went back to OZ for a second time in January/February 2008 and caught up with Tim and Scotty to visit a few kitesurf spots.

HOMESPOT

Over 1800 m above sea level and in between some great mountains, Silvaplana is an unusual playground for kite- and windsurfing. The so called "Malojawind" spoils the surfers with a fresh breeze every now and then. So have a look at a few shots from up there (Tamara, Grimbo, Beat, Scotty and Lüg).

EXPLORING THE RED CONTINENT

In 2006 Rodi, Scotty and Lüg discovered very unique spots along the vast and empty West Coast of OZ. After the camper-van was all ready to go, we took off for an unforgettable trip. Unfortunately, we can definitely not recommend you to go there: It is very dry, extremly hot, there are thousands of venomous spiders, poisonous snakes, annoying flies, deadly jellyfish and killer sharks. So, who wants to go there on a holiday?

SOUTH AFRICA: AROUND THE CAPE

In 2005/2006 I had the opportunity to work six months as a kitesurf-instructor in Langebaan (South Africa) at www.capesport.co.za. Luckily, there was enough time and wind to kitesurf on my own and to discover all the amazing places around the cape.

MOUNTAIN HIKING IN ENGADIN

Beautiful two-day hike in Engadin with Philipp and Lüg. Great mountains, spectacular views and good weather...

WHERE ALL BEGAN

Back in the days (2003), when only crazy people took up kitesurfing and kiting was still considered as an extreme sport!!

Rodi and Lüg got in touch with the kitesurf-lifestyle up at Lake Silvaplana. Please pay attention to the most reliable safety systems ever and of course, the two line kites : )

These few days set the ball rolling and we became totally addicted to this spectacular hobby. Soon, we started planning adventures to some warmer destinations.
